Peter Harris
Peter Harris has managed the Economic Development Unit within the Dunedin City Council since 2002. He oversees the 9 staff and has helped develop innovative economic development projects such as a tertiary student business coaching service, succession planning advice, and a fund to help researchers secure funding.
These projects have sparked significant private sector funding and have won international and national awards (International Economic Development Council 2008, Vero 2009). Peter is a board member of the Upstart business incubator and the Economic Development Agencies of New Zealand (EDANZ). Prior to working with the EDU he was the Managing Director of a design-orientated company he co-founded in 1990.
