Clyde is the Business and Sector Development General Manager for Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development Limited. 

ATEED is a council-controlled organisation, which will help lift the Auckland region's economic wellbeing, and support and enhance the ability of the region to compete internationally.

ATEED will rationalise and consolidate events, economic development and tourism activities across the region to achieve a consistent approach.

Clyde has been an economic development practitioner for over 15 years, mostly in the role of Chief Executive of Enterprise Waitakere. During that time he worked extensively with local business networks, enterprises and business investors moving into Waitakere. For 3 years Clyde chaired the Economic Development Association of New Zealand (EDANZ) and for his contributions to economic development, in 2006 Clyde was made an Honorary Fellow of EDANZ's College of Practitioners.

Clyde is a board member of the Angel Association of NZ-the Angel Association is an organisation that aims to increase the quantity, quality and success of angel investments in NZ. Clyde is also an Associate Fellow of the NZ Institute of Management and a member of Massey University's School of Humanities and Social Policy, Labour Market Advisory Group.

Clyde is a graduate of the University of Auckland and has degrees in Law and History.
