CREDS – Project Manager – Christchurch

Website Environment Canterbury

The Canterbury Mayoral Forum is looking for an Implementation Manager for the Canterbury Regional Economic Development Strategy (CREDS), based at Environment Canterbury. This is a new position, full time, fixed term for 15 months.

The appointee will work with CREDS lead Mayors, their Chief Executives, the Regional Forums Secretariat and Mayoral Forum partners to support implementation of priority projects for 2017–18, including ‘accelerator projects’ part-funded by central government from the Regional Growth Programme.

The work includes monitoring and reporting progress and achievements to the Chief Executives Forum, Mayoral Forum and the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, and is focused on working with others to make things happen.

The person we’re looking for:

  • is an experienced project and contract manager
  • stays focused on the end goal, while looking after the details
  • focuses on relationships more than Gantt charts
  • works comfortably with more than one boss
  • writes clearly and concisely, and presents confidently.
