The role

The Business Growth and Innovation (BGI) division are seeking a Project Coordinator within the Education, Talent and Skills team.  This role presents an outstanding opportunity to be part of a team to significantly shape and influence Wellington’s focus on international student growth.  This is a fixed-term role finishing at the end of the Wellington International Student Growth Programme (WISGP) funding contract in June 2018.

To be successful in this role, you will, be highly organised, ideally have some marketing and event delivery experience and work well as part of a small team.  Knowledge and experience in the education sector would be an advantage.

The Project Coordinator will be accountable for providing project support to the Education, Talent and Skills Team, reporting to the Education, Talent and Skills Manager.

In summary, you will oversee the following accountabilities:

  • Manage the project plan for Education projects and supporting delivery of our projects
  • Co-ordinate WISGP/Education events and delegate appropriately
  • Ensure reporting and budgeting is completed so that there is project success
  • Co-ordinate itineraries for offshore trips and inbound agent visits
  • Assist the marketing team to prepare digital and physical collateral
  • Provide WISGP administration support
  • Be the central point of contact for WISGP/Education project related enquiries
